In addition to the time, cost and environmental benefits of the M5, the motorway also contributes directly to the wealth of the greater community.

Developed and operated under a 30 year lease (due to expire in 2023) by Interlink Roads Pty Ltd, the success of the M5 is shared by thousands of Australians through their stock and superannuation investments in Interlink’s owners, Transurban, Retail Employees Superannuation, Sunsuper and interests associated with Hastings Funds Management, Industry Funds Management and the AMP Infrastructure Equity Fund.

This valuable asset is in the capable hands of 115 dedicated Interlink professionals who, along with their teams of subcontractors, manage every aspect of the M5 from tolls and administration to drainage, road side facilities and capital development.

The M5 team is proud of its good reputation and we will continue to work towards improving services, reducing travel times, accommodating the community and environment while maintaining the highest standards in safety.
